We don't have a lot of snow here, but every once in a while, we get hit with a giant snow storm. This one came in two parts. We had a lot yesterday but today is very messy. They pretty much shut down the whole state and cancelled school. It's supposed to get worse throughout the night and then we'll get freezing rain tomorrow morning.

We're staying warm and staying indoors. It's too dangerous on the roads. My dad got rear ended (he's okay) but it involved 3 cars total and some people were taken by ambulance. He said that they sent 2 fire trucks, 1 firefighter chief car, 5 police, and 2 ambulance just for this incident. One of the ambulances couldn't get up the hill that the accident was on, so they had to walk the stretcher up to the people who needed it. He said after he had left the scene, he went to grab a cup of tea across the street and watched people fall (cops, firefighters, etc.) where the car accident was.

Anyway, they've been reporting all day about the weather and you know it's serious when the news brings out the heptabox!

I have a few more pictures to share with you. Kamana has had a great time in the snow. And if you look closely in the photo of my backyard, the bird bath looks like a cake!

Happy Friday and I hope everyone has a good weekend.

  1. Such a gorgeous dog! We never get snow here, but it has been icing up a lot lately (central Texas). School was closed today, but the conditions didn't seem to bad to me.
